Sunday Polo Opening Day of the 2017 season was a great success, perfect weather and exciting polo provided an idyllic experience for spectators.

Our friends from Ketel One Vodka hosted the 12pm match with Team Ketel One (Jacob Pechenik -1, Graham Bray 3, Max Menini 5, Chris Maloney 1) taking on Lazy 3 Ranch ( Louisa Musselman-Fikes 0, Peter Blake 3, Nicolai Galindo 4, Alonso Cruz Andrade 1) resulting in a win in favor of Lazy 3 Ranch. A tight first half saw the score tied at 3-3 at halftime, it was sure to be a great second half of play. Lazy 3 came out strong in the 4th chukker securing 4 unanswered goals. The final chukker started with a 9-5 scoreline and it was clear that  Ketel One was pushing to make a comeback, the effort was fierce with back to back goals from Menini and one from Maloney but time ran out with a final score of 10 - 8.

Representing Ketel One Vice President National Accounts, California Kelly Vida bowled the ball in to kick off the match. Guests enjoyed samples of Ketel One Vodka Mule (1.5oz Ketel One, 0.75oz Lime Juice, Ginger Beer) and Ketel One Citroenade (1.5oz Ketel One Critroen Vodka, 3oz Lemonade)

Cotterel Farms (Jennifer Luttrell-Benardoni 0, Matthew Fonseca 2, Francisco Benardoni 1, Ruben Coscia 5) had a convincing 11 - 7 win over Bush League (Ryan Robertson 0, Ulysses Escapite 4, Gaston Von Wernich 4, Virgil Kyle 0) in the 2pm match.
