The 2017 edition of the Polo Challenge kicks off tomorrow

(Dominican Republic, January 12th, 2017) - The second edition of the prestigious Dominican Republic Polo Challenge kicks off tomorrow with the 12-goal Bronze Cup.

The tournament is the first of four competitions which make up the Polo Challenge. The official inauguration is due on Saturday, along with the first matches of the much-awaited 22-goal Bronze Cup.

The tournament was recently included in the World Polo Tour, the official ranking of polo; the Silver and Gold Cups will now be rated on the WPT, making the competition even more attractive.

Weekend Schedule:

12-goal Bronze Cup:

Friday 13th, 4pm - Field 1 Casa de Campo: Pitirri Palenque vs Cinque Terre.

La Potranca vs Costasur will also take place at 4pm, but at Lechuza Caracas RD.

Sunday 15th, 2 pm - Field 1 Casa de Campo: Cinque Terre vs. Costasur

4pm - Field 3 Casa de Campo: La Potranca vs. Casa de Campo

22-goal Bronze Cup + official season opening Polo Challenge RD 2017:


Saturday 14th 2pm - Field 3 Casa de Campo: Power Infraestructure vs Alegría-El Milagro

4pm - Main field Casa de Campo: Lechuza vs. Casa de Campo

The children of the MIR foundation will play the National Anthem and the official opening of the season will take place.
